As our facilities reopen, we are employing new safety measures to protect you and our caregivers including universal mask use, temperature testing, social distancing, employee COVID-19 testing, visitor restrictions and keeping our COVID-19 symptomatic patients separated from other patients. Nothing is more important to us than you.

Faith-Based, Compassionate and Individualized

AdventHealth Hospice Care, formerly Florida Hospital HospiceCare, is the only faith-based and Joint Commission-accredited hospice in Volusia and Flagler counties. Joint Commission accreditation improves the quality of patient care and provides an objective assessment of clinical excellence.

We accomplish this by providing respectful and dignified personal care in a variety of settings whether patients are in their actual homes, a residential care facility or in one of our home-like inpatient care centers — Hospice Care at AdventHealth Palm Coast, Hospice Care at AdventHealth DeLand, Hospice Care at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, Hospice Care at AdventHealth Fish Memorial, or the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast.

Support During the Transition

We know that this can be one of the hardest transitions a patient and a family can face, and we offer an array of services, education and support, as well as a group of loving and compassionate volunteers to guide your family through this unfamiliar territory.

Our visitor policy has been recently updated.

Hospice is a place for weary folks to lay their hats at the door and come into a world of love and commitment like no other. Patients and their loved ones depend on each of us on the hospice team to help carry their heartaches. Kindness knows no religion, gender, race or creed. I am honored to be called and privileged to serve my brothers and sisters every day while I am at my hospice job. We are the team that is honored to be here when you need us. Personally I ask myself every day what have I done to earn this honor, but I already know what that is. It’s part of my journey to share in yours and I am filled with the love that I receive from people that need me. I am so Blessed!

I have the pleasure of visiting HospiceCare patients with my Pet Partner, Ginger. Ginger is a ‘rescue’ dog, who was found wandering the streets of Ormond Beach. Now Ginger gets to rescue us as well as AdventHealth HospiceCare patients. Ginger has a natural knack for visiting and looks forward to her weekly visits. I too look forward to the visits as a way of remembrance of my mother who passed away due to cancer. Many patients and visitors are relieved to have a short break from their current stress and anxiety to socialize with Ginger.

My father passed away peacefully at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast. I am challenged to find adequate words that best convey how deeply appreciative and thankful I am for the HospiceCare team’s support and compassion during that time. During every step of my father’s illness the team was there to support and help navigate me through. Every step of the way, the team was mindful to, at all costs, honor my Dad’s wishes. I find much peace in knowing that during my father’s final hours, he too was at peace and free of any pain or discomfort, and was surrounded by the most caring and compassionate staff I could ever have hoped for. I will forever be grateful for the difference and impact this incredible team has had on my life. They are truly angels in every sense of the word.
