Your Source For Help and Comfort
AdventHealth Hospice Care East Florida understands the varying levels of hospice care needed during a life-limiting illness for both the patient and the family members. That is why we strive to be a source of help and comfort during this time of transition. Whether in the home-like atmosphere of one of our in-patient facilities, a local nursing home, assisted living facility or while receiving in-home services, it is the care that matters. Several types of care are available.
Routine Care — AdventHealth Hospice Care East Florida provides the same personal attention wherever the patient calls home— whether that is in the patient’s own home, at a nursing home or in an assisted-living facility.
Inpatient Care — Patients may be admitted to one of our locations for a limited period of time, as determined by the physician and the Interdisciplinary Team for symptom management, such as uncontrolled pain, nausea, vomiting or difficulty breathing.
Respite Care — This service may be provided in one of the inpatient facilities and is designed to give caregivers a rest. Designed to help caregivers find time to run errands, or to get away for a few days, Respite Care is a short-term benefit covered by most insurances for an inpatient stay of up to five days.
Continuous Care — Skilled nursing services are provided in the patient’s place of residence for symptoms or a crisis period. Care is provided for 8 to 24 hours a day to manage pain and other acute medical symptoms. These services are predominately nursing care, supplemented with caregiver and hospice aide services.
